AN ODD DISCOVERY!

I arrived home from spinning to find Quinn, asleep, in bed with his laundry basket on top of his head! He had dumped out the dirty laundry, left it in a neat little pile on his floor and actually chosen to sleep this way! An odd discovery? Yes! An odd boy? It would appear so!
Sound asleep, head in basket!

Bizarre!

YUM! BEEEEEER!

"Daddy, please may I have a sip of your beer?" was how it all started. He was so darn polite about it, Dave said yes. No further explanation needed. See pics below
Ummm...
got a mouthful...

not so good... for now...

KARATE

Kieran has started karate at a place around the corner from our house called High Park Martial Arts Academy. He and his best friend Ben are doing it together and although only two lessons in, there is no doubt they are excited by the karate chop! This week Sensei O'Connell tried karate gi's on the boys for sizing. As it turned out, he didn't have the right size for them but he has ordered them each their own gi which they should have in the next week or ten days. Dave took these pics on his iphone and they are adorable! I figured they were worth sharing. More to come once we have the official gi!
A very pleased boy

AN EGGCELLENT EASTER WEEKEND!

What a weekend! The weather could not have been better! We spent Good Friday playing in our backyard, celebrating Tessa Boyd's 1st birthday with our first sighting of the Easter Bunny at the party, there to hand out loot bags! Kieran was quite skeptical as he saw running shoes and skin under the 'fake fur'. His words, not mine! Oh to be 4 and trying to figure it all out...
A big nap only to awake to Aunt Jally and Maddie here for an egg hunt in our backyard (thanks Jally) and a nice family dinner. Saturday was a highlight, spending 12 hours with the cousins in Hamilton. It started with the annual egg hunt at the rez. and went on to brunch on Inglewood Drive, a bird hike with Uncle Paul and Aunt Kristen and arriving back at the cousins house to find Grampa Mike, Auntie Erin and Auntie Meg! More great food and laughs beyond belief. We left Toronto at 9:45am and arrived home at 10:30pm. Life doesn't get much better than that! Easter Sunday took us to church, a visit and play with Poppy and Nana and a visit from Pete! Good thing we still have Monday to recover! Thanks to everyone for sharing in the fun and their never ending love and generosity! xoxo (lots of pics to follow)
