Let's go to the EX - Oh Baby! We had a blast last night taking the boys to the CNE. We arrived a few minutes after 5pm to get in on the $5 admission after 5pm. What a great call! The evening was the perfect summers night. There weren't too many people and we had the bonus of Gramz and Claw joining in on the fun! We spent a few hours wandering around enjoying the petting zoo (a big hit!), a few rides, dinner in the food building (TINY TOMS DONUTS were the highlight in this building), played some hockey in the winter games exhibit and the boys even played a few games on the kiddie midway to win some cuddly new friends. Fun Times! Can't wait to do it again next year!
I started this blog in 2007 as a way for family far and wide to stay in the know about what the Fitz Boyz were up to. As the years have progressed, it has become more of a gift for K&Q, something for them to enjoy as they become adults. It is my hope that they will be able to check out this site whenever they want and share laughs and outstanding memories of all the fun things we did when they are young. Bottom line, I hope they know how loved they are, forever! xoxo Mum

COTTAGE LIFE
We had the absolute best time spending ten days on Eilean Gowan Island. We had spectacular weather which had us in and out of the lake 5 times a day. We saw a deer, fed the ducks, saw a few turtles, played with a pool of tadpoles, canoed to the park. We went to Gravenhurst for the splash park and farmers market goodies. Had a boat ride and picnic with Poppy. We were thrilled to have Grampa Mike, Uncle Connor and Pete arrive late Thursday night. Friday we boated into Port Carling for lunch at Turtle Jacks. Aunt Meg and Phillipe arrived Friday afternoon and then the cousins descended on Saturday. Kieran was silly excited to see Owen, Kaitlyn, Nora, Maeve, Aunt Kelly and Uncle Darin. A very fun and full weekend.
Many Thanks to Grampa Mike for loaning us his camera for the week. Unfortunately the battery died on Friday which means no pics of all the family there on the weekend. Next time...

The Segwun steamship coming through the channel. We had to pull our boat over to let him through while boating down to Gravenhurst to go to the farmers market.

THE BIG HOUSE REVEAL
Whew! Many Big Thank You's to Dave for all of his hard work the past few weeks.
He has single handedly prepped, painted three sides of the brick, painted out the brown windows, had the down spout on the front of the house removed and new black eaves put up.
The awning on the third floor will be ripped off in a few days, black shutters will be put up on windows, a new black front door and eventually a black roof. A process still in the works, but an incredible improvement!
Our house just bought - late April 2007. Seven months pregnant with Quinn. Due to take possession on June 26th. Quinn was due on July 25th, born July 26th.

Brick painted out. Windows painted. New black eaves on.
Awning on third floor coming down next week.
Black shutters to come.
New black door in the works.
Black roof when roof needs to be replaced (likely a few years from now)

CLEAR LAKE REGATTA WEEKEND
Whew! It was a wild weekend on Clear Lake. The boys were busy as usual. Fishing was a big hit! Water play at the park in Gravenhurst, bear hunts, a visit to the island to see Grampa Mike and Aunt Meg, hanging out with our big, groovy cousin Zan, Uncle Bill, Aunt Shelton and their friends Jim, Natalie, Robert and Chloe who were visiting from Hilton Head Island for the week. Thanks to Poppy and Nana for hosting us.

Kieran enjoyed a special seat, sitting on my feet, hanging in the water while watching the parade - a solid leg workout!

Kieran entered the 4 year olds and under blowing bubble contest. He won 3rd. A ring pop, ribbon and a deck of cards.

Jim, Jane, Dad, Shelton, Bill, Chloe, Zan, Robert and Natalie. All but Dad and Jane up visiting from Hilton Head Island.

Quinn totally tuckered out from the festivities.
